NEW!!! Acer Revo RL70-UR10P Released!
Hot off my refresh of new Acer Revo's available, Acer has gone ahead and released a brand new Revo into the wild. The Revo RL70-UR10P) goes back to the roots of the Revo line and removes the optical drive, which means it is low on price. Amazon.com
has it listed at $329.99. It is a bit edgier design than other revos we have seen and it actually drops the Atom/Ion combo to replace it with an AMD/Radeon. Here is a pic:
I am actually impressed by this little guy, here are the specs:
- 1.65Ghz AMD Dual Core processor
- 2GB DDR3 Ram
- 500 GB Hard drive
- ATI Radeon HD 6300 Series
- Windows 7 Home Premium
- Wireless Keyboard and mouse

Seems like it’s not in stock anywhere or they want much more than $329 that’s listed on Acer.com.

Hmm yes that is very odd. Amazon was selling it themselves for $329.99, but it looks like they themselves sold out. Newegg is really expensive on it and sold out. Could have been a small initial shipment. I would not pay over the list price of $330 though.

Still seems like it’s not available anywhere for the list price of $329. By the time you add BluRay, memory, and usb wireless network adapter, it’s just not worth the money and hassle (for me). I bought the Zotac ZBOX-AD03BR-PLUS-U (plus additional memory and usb wireless network adapter) for $400 shipped.

So would you recommend this over the 3610 or 3700? I am trying to put together an HTPC running XBMC. Obviously, none of the Revo models are even available here in India, so will have to scout around based on your recommendation.

I just ordered it through Amazon for $339 (didn’t know it listed for $329 -Ah well). However NewEgg reports it has Wireless lan built in and 1 of the 2 early user reviews on Amazon claims the wireless functionality is faster than the older equivalent machine it replaces. I’m new to HTPC devices so I’m stumbling around a bit. HOpe I didn’t screw up.

is it possible to remove that “x” looking stand it sits on so it can lay down flat?
